Career: Brian worked with CN Rail in Montreal and Mississauga for almost 25 years, in various Marketing roles including Marketing Manager for major business portfolios. In 1998, he joined Thomson Learning as a Business Manager responsible for the financial affairs of a department that grew from 36 employees in 1998 to over 700 employees in 2006. He managed a multimillion dollar annual operating and capital budget for these years. Currently he owns a printer cartridge remanufacturing franchise, and works part-time at his church in worship support.
Volunteering: He has been volunteering in the Hospice movement for over 20 years. He is currently President of the Board of Alliance Hospice, where volunteers serve the needs of clients dealing with life-threatening illnesses. He is an active volunteer with the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto, Muddy York Rugby Football Club (Treasurer), and Pride Business Network (Treasurer), and is a member of Business Networking International's Danforth chapter.

Charles Marker

Career: Charles has done social work in juvenile probation, family services and children's mental health. He worked at the Hincks Treatment Centre in Toronto for 25 years as a clinical social worker, including 10 years as Director of Out-Patient Services. He retired in 1999.
Volunteering: He volunteered as a counsellor at the Lesbian and Gay Counselling Centre of Toronto in the 1980s and 1990s, and was president and a member of its board of directors. He also volunteered in the Toronto Public Library reading tutoring program.
